Welcome back to another Monday edition of Pixel love Nitromian’s.

This week we will be highlighting a rather neat little game Recursion, a cool little retro puzzle platformer by The Village Blacksmith.

After crash landing on an alien planet it is your task to make it to the end flag in a series of one screen puzzles.

Any fan of the portal genre will be instantly at home here with the games one screen wrapping formula. (Think falling into a pit and back onto the top of the screen again). Throw in tons of variety including enemies, switches, balloons, collectable stars, bubbles, gravity manipulation and you’re in for a treat.

With the weekend on the way, its time for a quick round-up post!

Welcome back to the first of 2013’s Pixel Love games. Planet 161 is a puzzle platformer developed by Miniboss Studios

Use different guns to manipulate your environment and help the soldier Hinds escape from the evil clutches emperor Zordak and the tiny prison planet.

Created in a mind-blowing 48 hours for the Ludum Dare 23 Jam. It’s a neat little game filled with intriguing puzzles, charming blocky pixel designs and a nice game-play twist. Perfect for a lunch-time break and a welcome addition to our catalogue of pixel gems.

First Friday update of 2013, woohoo!

We hope you have all enjoyed the holidays as much as we did!

On Monday we'll be back with the first Pixel Love of the year. By the way, it was a slight oversight on our part that we didn't consider the Christmas break. Sorry about that :)

We are almost done with Bad Ice-Cream 2 with 4-player Touchy support, so expect that early next week too!

With only two days in the office this week we are not exactly sure yet what else we are going to bring you, but expect some sort of update in regards to one or more of our bigger projects.

Hey Nitromians,

Nitrome is back... and you may be pleased to hear that our xmas treat Bad Ice-Cream 2 has been fixed and uploaded for you to complete.

Bug fixes include:

• Level 34 - fixed major freezing bug.
• Instructional panel - Now shows up the correct info for the Frost tiles level.
• Highscores text - There was a bug which deleted your name when longer than a certain length. This issue has now been resolved.
• The 'R' key can now be pressed to restart the level...neat.

For all you loyal touchy subscribers
We are working on finishing a 4 player Touchy implementation right now so that shouldn't be too far off. We will post an update as soon as it has been uploaded.

Hi Nitromians!

This will be our last post of 2012! We hope you have all enjoyed what we have been making this year and have been excited by our major announcements outside of the usual flash games we make!

If you missed it today we launched Bad Ice Cream 2 just in the lick of time for the holidays! You can play that here! 

As a recap our big announcements of the year were:

Flightless - (PC Download/Steam/Greenlight). We are at the time of writing position 86 in the top 100 on Greenlight. To get to the top and get allowed on Steam we need your help! If you have a Steam account and have bought a game please go and vote! Know a friend who uses Steam? Show them the page and ask them if they wouldn't mind voting! Finally you can let everyone you know via any social network you use. With your help we will get Greenlit and be able to release this epic game! Flightless Steam Greenlight Page

Icebreaker - A Viking Voyage (iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad) We have been updating the webpage for the last few months but we recently launched the trailer! Icebreaker Trailer, Icebreaker Webpage

Touchy - Control our games with your phone or device!(Android/iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad) We launched this initially for idevices with 10 games! We now also support Android and have added a new game and demos! App store Google Play

Hi Nitromians,

We have been working very hard to try and get Bad Ice-Cream 2 ready for launch before we break today for Christmas! We have managed it just in the lick of time but in order to make the date we had to sadly leave one very important aspect out which is Touchy support.

We have been working to get it in and it almost worked but we had a lot of bugs with it so it was very unstable. With it having to come out today we had the choice of launching without or delaying the release until after New Year. We hope you agree we made the best choice possible and we will update the game with full 4 player Touchy support as soon as we are back in the office.

So for now go and play 2 player Bad Ice Cream 2 here:
