Swindler is back in a brand new drop and roll adventure Swindler 2!

Take control of our sneaky little green dangler in this rotating action puzzler.

Bouncing back onto your screens, fresh from the hugely successful early 2012 title Swindler. This brand new game is the first Nitrome Touchy enabled title from launch. So if you want the full immersive experience, get Touchy and get rolling!

Whilst we’re on the subject, for you android users out there, the wait is over! Touchy is now available to download on the Google Play Store. Just in time for Thanks Giving! Phew….! :0)

If you don’t have a smartphone, don’t worry you can still enjoy Swindler 2 using your keyboard just like all the other Nitrome games. The world of Nitrome just got that little bit better! We hope you enjoy Swindler 2, we really enjoyed making it!

Now we know there are a few games like this out there but One Button Bob deserves recognition due to it’s slick execution.

Easy to pick up and play, each challenge is different enough to keep you interested. With the difficulty level set to “fun” rather than “rock hard and frustrating!” we wanted to shine our weekly light of love on Tom “Ninjadoodle” Vencel’s pixelated adventure.

Oh and we love the Commodore 64 reference at the start… extra kudos for that!
It looks good, sounds good and plays well. So go on give it ten minutes of your time and enjoy :0)

It’s another Friday evening here in the UK, and that means it’s time to update you all on what is happening at Nitrome HQ.

Firstly our Icebreaker iOS title is coming along well and is looking great and even more importantly playing brilliantly. It’s now over 90% complete so the finish line is within sight. At the moment we are thinking about starting to film the big reveal trailer which will show you all just how awesome and varied our first iOS title is.

In game there are still a handful of levels to create for the second pack, some story to be written, a few more sound FX and some more graphics polish to be added.

Next week you should have another update on Icebreaker and fingers crossed a brand new Flash game release for our site.

For those of you who haven’t yet, you are missing out on some truly awesome Nitrome gaming and can try it out for ‘free’ from the iOS store now (Android version coming soon-so hold tight!).

Hello Nitromians,

Today we have launched a teaser video for our soon to be released addition to the Nitrome game catalogue. Swindler 2 is the sequel to one of this year’s greatest hits.

This new game introduces mechanics that turn our little green dangler on it’s head… literally! This is our first brand new game that will launch with Touchy as a controller option. This is by far the best way to enjoy this rolling action puzzler.

We’ll keep you updated on all things Swindler related but for now check out the video to see what it’s all about!

Well it's Friday again... my, how time flies when you're having fun!

So with all that we're working on at the moment, next week should be full of updates.

The Nitrome Touchy app on iTunes has had just under 10 thousand free downloads, so we'd like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support. For those of you who have bought the upgrade, we would love to see your pictures and videos of you and your friends playing with Touchy, so send them in and you might see them on our blog!

Please don't forget to spread the word and help us make it a huge success! We've been working on the Android version and hopefully we'll be able to give you an update on that next week.

Don't forget to vote for Flightless on Steam Greenlight! The votes have slowed up a little recently and we need every vote we can get! In this weeks Pixelove we introduce you to gravity Duck a puzzle platformer by Woblyware

Everybody loves ducks don’t they??? Why of course, we hear you say...Well your all in luck as this is no ordinary duck either, he has the power to flip gravity.

Guide your duck through forty levels of egg gathering action.

Although this flipping mechanic may be not completely original (seen in such series as VVVVV) it does have bags of charm in its teeny pixel sprites.  And it’s a very enjoyable little platformer to waddle your way through. It’s got some nice head nodding retro beats thrown in there too.

Well today is a big day... no not because it’s Halloween, however we do have a treat for you! We’ve been working hard in our humble Nitrome office and are proud to announce…

NITROME TOUCHY IS NOW LIVE! Oh yeah!

We have 10 games that can be played through your browser with the Nitrome Touchy app. Just download the app from the iTunes App Store and try it out on Super Snotput. You can then upgrade the app through one in-app-purchase to unlock all the other games that are available. We are also working on releasing more Touchy compatible games, there will be 20 more coming out within the next 6 months.

For all you Android lovers out there, an android version will be coming soon. (We’re working on it as we speak, and will keep you updated).

Hey Nitromians,

It’s almost time for Halloween again. So what better way to celebrate than pulling a cotton sheet over your head and scaring the bejesus out of everyone?!?

Soul Tax  is a hilarious ghoulish treat created by Jarod Long and Lauren Careccia which fits this theme perfectly.

The premise of the game goes something like this...After roaming in Limbo as a ghost for 8 years, you are approached by the grim reaper to pay back all of your ‘soultax’ before you can move onto the afterlife. It’s a fairly simple but dark premise as you must possess and kill office workers by any means possible to reach your toll and progress to the next stage.

...A word of WARNING To anyone who may be offended by some dark and sometimes harrowing content, this may not be the game for you...

For everyone else we would suggest NOT to skip the dialogue! Just don’t. Its a well-written and extremely humorous affair which you seriously don’t want to miss.

It’s another gloomy looking Monday over here in London UK, so we thought we would try and brighten things up a bit with today’s Pixelove ‘Llama in your face’ a zany defence game from Big Dino developed by Simon Parzer and Peter Sperl.

This game is every bit as crazy as it’s title sound’s; you take control of a Llama who must drive away the hordes of visitors before they reach his cage. Your only defence is to spit at them and send them away in a slime filled rage.

It’s a game that is built on a simple premise of point, aim and click but it builds upon this over its 18 rounds to become something which is both engrossing and bags of fun.

Quickly collect money with your mouse and upgrade your defences such as multi-target, spit guns, battle cry, power-up helicopters and more. Or try out the games separate Arena mode and aim to beat your personal best.

There is plenty to love here, from the tiny and charming sprites to the great environments and sound which makes a very highly polished experience and one that we highly recommend to brighten up your day.
