This is a platformers crossed with type-em-up controls. This game does not need you to be the best typist in the world. It requires that you use great judgement and timing to make ot from letter to letter. This puts an interesting creative spin on this genre of game. The artwork is great

Today's Pixel Love game is Stasis!
We chose this game for the artists great use of such a limited colour space.
The game play is nothing ground breakingly new, but it plays well and we have to admit is quite addictive!

Today we thought we would give you a glimpse of a game coming to nitrome.com in the coming weeks.
You take control of a strange alien craft with a cool water based mechanic.
We don't want to spoil too much as we feel it's much better to experience the game first hand... We are such a tease! ;)

We try not to feature so much art from the same person. But as you can see the Sky Serpents fan art from Saugandh Nakkarike (aka razor) is just simply so outstanding we couldn't resist.

Depicted in his usual blocky almost mine-craft esque style, we think it's his best work yet. A big thank you and congrats for all of you hard work and skill Razor.
We love receiving art especially if it’s something that we haven't seen before. Video's, models, paintings, walkthroughs, poems, animations, pixel art, Lego, (Halloween costumes anyone?)
We can't wait to see what you guys send in next.

Today we've got Tiny Squad as our Pixel Love game choice!
We thought the cute little characters had great pixel art and the game had light-hearted sound design. This will really test your strategy skills!
The game starts off relatively easy to help you understand the turn based move/battle mechanics but the levels slowly get much more challenging!

We have decided that our Pixel Love game choice for today is Fear Less by innomin and atpalicis!
This game really stood out to us with its slick yet creepy pixel art characters and environment design. It has great sound design and has some strong all round polish. The game is simple to pick up and play, with upgrades adding to the overall replay value.
we hope you enjoy this as much as we did.

We hope you liked our tease for Endless Doves a couple of days ago dressed as a reveal that we got a new iPhone 6 in the office...I know a few of you Android fanboys weren't too happy we were seemingly promoting iOS. Sorry about that...it clearly was not the aim of the post.
Anyway for anyone who missed it were making a new game called Endless Doves...wait what?! So yes that's right this is not some kind of level pack for 8 bit Doves but a whole new release.
So what is it exactly? Well as the name suggests this is an endless version of 8 bit doves. The aim is to collect as many doves as you can without dying in an endless labyrinth of twisty tunnels.
At its heart it is a high score game against your friends. We also though have an area in the game called 'aviary' here you can unlock many new birds and flying things to collect that replace the doves...Endless Owls anyone?
It will be a FREE app on mobile (yeah you read correctly). It will also launch directly on the Nitrome website too! Both versions will be ad funded and were very excited to try this business model on mobile compared to to paid apps.
That's it for now. The game is progressing well. We have a build already that we have all been playing to death in the office. We will keep you all updated as it progresses!

So it's Friday again, how did that happen?
It's been a busy but good week for us here in Nitrome Towers. We had some awesome fan art that we blogged about and we revealed a new game that should be coming out soon. But before we sign off for the weekend it's customary for us to give you a heads up on what will follow next week!
You should know that we have a lot of things going on and so next week we will reveal to you a game that we have in development that you don't know about. It could be a game for the website, or for mobile, or both! You'll just have to wait and see... so until then have a fab weekend.
Well, it has been a long time coming, but we are finally ready to bring you a fresh mobile version of the Nitrome website!
