Hi Nitromians,
We have made some small changes to Skywire VIP Extended. We have removed 'My Neighbour Totoro' from the line-up. The reason was due to the difference in the UK and US spelling of the word Neighbour.
We were lucky enough to have some extra characters to put into the game referred to as 'The Z-listers'. We may show you the characters that didn't make it into the game at a later date.
Some of the Z-listers have been introduced to the games line-up as a result, but we can't tell you which ones! There was a spacing issue with some of the characters that's also been fixed.

Hi Nitromians!
Skywire VIP Extended has now been released as a full Nitrome title!
The follow up game started out as a cool, fan initiated project over on the scratch community by Max Schramp and Duncan Smith. We decided to ask them if they would like us to launch an official release on our site and here it is!
There are loads of brand new characters to guess in this, we hope you don’t need to use the hints too much and all have fun!

Hi Nitromians!
This is probably our best piece of fan work to date!
Max Schramp and Duncan Smith have not only recreated one of our games, Skywire VIP, very closely in the 'Scratch' format but actually filled it with all new content that we would argue is of similar quality to the original.
Scratch for those that don’t know is: ‘a programming language that makes it easy to create your own interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art -- and share your creations on the web.’ – Scratch Website
A quick word of note here, we would normally not condone someone building fan sequels to our games but this is a purely non-profit project that will have no impact with us in terms of piracy which is why we felt we could give the creators credit for their hard work.
We were so impressed with the project that we asked the creators if they would like to take it further as a fully fledged new release on our site. They were more than happy to take up our offer and have even implemented suggestions that we made to make the upcoming official version even better. It will have a full 100 new rounds, some of which were made especially for this release
Thanks again to Max and Duncan who have worked very hard on this project!
Look forward to this release coming soon!

Hey Nitromians,
We've now got a video online based around the current iPhone piracy issues.
This topic was covered quite well in a Kotaku article recently that helped to shed further light on the matter. In many of these cases, the pirated material is taken from an original flash game, with its artwork, code and music still intact and then ported to the new device. The video footage shows you a good example of the issue.

We have also been given this great piece of art that depicts several characters from our games, characters from other peoples games (and even the beatles!) in tiny little Skywire form!

Thanks Alexis, this is some great fan artwork!
Guess the names of the famous faces riding along in the cable cars in Skywire VIP.
Back when we made the original Skywire we had lots of emails guessing at who the little people in the cable cars were supposed to be. We liked this and so we expanded the selection of characters in Skywire 2 which we got even more email guesses about!
We actually made this mini-quiz in December 2008 when we started drawing lots of characters for a potential Skywire sequel. Although we haven't got round to making a Skywire 3 (yet) we thought it would be quite fun to incorporate them all into a quiz so that you could all see them and try to guess who they are supposed to be.
Have fun!
We found this weird article about Skywire over at JayIsGames... I don't know what's going on but we want whatever they're having! The author of the article, SonicLover, has also written an interesting essay about our game SmallFry here. We're quite impressed... we think maybe he knows more about the game than we do!
No really... it is actually finished! Our sequel to the crazy cable car game: Skywire 2 is here! Get the passengers safely to the end of each level by avoiding weird animals. This new version features different coloured cable cars, a two-player mode and bosses. Ready... Go!
